Propeller Heads
Question: I read in a newsletter that “articles shouldn’t be posted on Web sites as PDFs because “it will be impossible for the search engines to find them”.
I know Google displays PDF’s in it’s listing, do others and what is the best way to post my articles?
Answer: Even though some of the search engines can read PDF files, I don’t really know anyone who makes a lot of money doing it. It’s still much better for your search engine purposes to use plain old html.
So the answer is:
If you are interested in using articles to try to manipulate a higher search engine ranking, use plain html.
If you are mostly intersted in ease of use of your visitor, then pdf is OK.

Processing gateways give you the ability to accept payments online through your website’s shopping cart. The gateway works as a middleman between you and your bank. It collects the funds and then transfers them to your account for a small percentage, monthly fee and minimal per item charge (These rates tend to be fairly standardized).
When choosing your gateway, be certain that it will allow you to require the CVV2 number and billing address for your visitors credit cards. this will help protect you from fraudulent charges.
Not all gateways are compatible with all shopping carts, so verify with your web developer prior to filing your application paperwork.
