Tell your readers what they are probably thinking, feeling or doing as they read. This strategy will trigger their own subconscious mind to bring out these feelings or actions.

You can add these sentences into any ad copy. You may have to change one or two words so it relates more to the product or service you’re selling.

  1. As you keep reading this ad copy, you are feeling more and more compelled to experience all the benefits of our product.
  2. The more you understand just how valuable our product could be to your life, the less you think about delaying this important purchase.
  3. After you read this short ad you will feel like your problems are almost completely solved, all you will have to do is order.
  4. As you’re skimming through this, you’re beginning to think you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying out our product.
  5. As you’re scanning over this ad copy, you are beginning to imagine using our product and enjoying all the benefits it brings.
  6. The more you keep reading our ad the more you feel it would be a waste to let this opportunity slip by.
  7. The more you review our ad the more you begin to find yourself getting very excited about our product and starting to feel the urge to buy now.
  8. You don’t know it yet but, at the conclusion of this ad, you will feel driven to order and experience all the benefits of our product.
  9. You don’t realize it yet but, in a few short minutes you’ll realize that you can’t put off this vital purchase and then you’ll be yanking out your credit card.
  10. As every word you read travels from this ad to your brain, you start to understand just how much our product could benefit your life.

Did your Webmaster grow up in a barn?

We have all heard the old cliche “Did you grow up in a barn?”, but how often do we apply it to our websites?

When you pay someone to develop your site, they should keep your directory structure clean. How can you expect to ever get top rankings when there are 30 versions of a page hidden on your website?

Another factor to bear in mind is that the more junk in your site, the harder it is to maintain. If you want to be forced to pay your webmaster to edit your site, then let them leave stuff everywhere. If you want to be able to choose what you do or don’t do, make them keep things neat. After all your the one writing the checks!

Here are some simple tips to keep your site clean, be certain to make sure your webmaster is following them.

  • When changing a page, don’t leave the old page in your root directory with a name like changedpage2.html. instead move it to an archive folder, or download it a burn it on a cd.

  • Store files in the appropriate folder. Image files belong in your images folder, not your root directory.

  • If you have more than 1 website, don’t duplicate your files in each site. instead, choose one site for certain files and always store them there. A great example would be media files. Why would you need them on every website, when you autoresponders only point to one site?

  • If your not using something anymore, move it to an archive folder, or burn it to cd. the more stuff you have in your root folder, the harder it is to manage.

Net10 E-Mail Administration; Login Page Moved

Email domain administrators:

On 2/4/05 Net10 updated their mail software to a new version and we have some issues.

The administrator section URL has been changed.

The new URL is http://mail.net10.net:8080/accounts.

(you can replace the net10.net with your domain name just like before)

Please notice that accounts is added to the end of the URL.

The old address of http://mail.net10.net:8080 will now take you to the web mail system and not the administrator section.

Notice:

Now is a great time to remind you about our password policy we have in place.

If you try to make any changes with the admin section and the account password does not meet the new requirements you will receive an error. You need to upgrade the password to the new requirements before you will be allowed to make any account changes.

Password Policy:

All account passwords must be at least 5 characters long and must include at least one number and at least one letter.

Please feel free to call if you have any questions or comments.

Internet Marketing

All businesses these days have to consider going online. More and more people are using the Internet to find out about new products or to buy online. Based on this, any business must consider going online with their marketing.

Going online can take several different approaches, from creating your own website to market and sell your goods to using email as an advertising tool. The choices are endless. For people to be able to find your website you will need to make sure that the popular search engines find your site. Make use of keywords to ensure that people can locate your website easily.

Marketing online is a large issue for many businesses. There are experts that dedicate their lives to providing successful Internet marketing. This article only covers the basics to get you started.

You should also treat your internet marketing the same way you would treat offline marketing. You should conduct research, form a marketing plan and do all the same things that you would do with regular marketing. The good thing is that most often, when using the internet, you can do all of those things cheaper. This may be one of the reasons why more and more companies are choosing to use the web for marketing.

Getting the Best Out of Online AdvertisingYour website is your shop window. This is what the public sees when they look at your company. The impression that people get when they go to your site is important. Make sure you invest in getting your site right; if you do not have the expertise, hire someone that does.

When you create a website you will have to choose a website domain address (often referred to as a URL). Select something that is catchy and easy to remember. Your web address should also remind customers of you and your product. A further inexpensive way to advertise online is to ask your customers to register on your site so that you can send them regular information in the form of newsletters.

You should have a mailing list of email addresses of customers. You should also check up on your ranking on search engines and take the proper procedures to increase your ranking on search engines whenever possible.

There is a whole community available that will discuss your product through chatrooms or message boards. By using these methods you can target the right people and ask them for assistance in your research. Chatrooms are largely annonymus so individuals will normally feel willing to discuss their feelings quite openly. With a little careful consideration, the Internet can bring a huge amount of new opportunities to today’s business.

Daniel Turov

Twenty years ago, I put a suit in my closet with all the pockets cut out as a daily reminder that on the day I wear my last suit, I won’t be taking anything with me. The only value my life will have had will be what I have accomplished for others.

Well, I’m no doctor; I can’t save lives. I’m no minister; I can’t save souls. But I do know the stock market inside and out, and if I can help people improve their financial condition – so that they can better provide for their children’s education, their retirement, their health, and their charitable contributions and legacies, then I will have served my purpose as best as I know how. And while I can’t give you any performance guarantees, I can and do give you my solemn promise that I will try to fulfill that purpose to the best of my ability until I wear that last suit.

Customize Your Blog

I’ve only had one problem since setting up this WordPress Blog, it didn’t look like the rest of my site! So I did a little searching on the web hoping to find some free templates or styles sheets or something. Guess what, I did! It wasn’t as easy to work on as the ones you get with a FrontPage web Template, but after a bit of tweaking I made it work. After cutting out a lot of the advanced style sheet code, correcting some incorrect database calls, making a few new graphics, it was converted so that I can now edit my template in FrontPage.

Why would I want to do this? Branding, plain and simple. I wanted to have all of the benefits of a Blog for Marketing, but didn’t want to restrict people who might come across it to the Blog with a few links on it. Now when someone comes across my Blog, they will be able to get to the rest of my site. How’s that for taking advantage of a good situation?
